If you hadn’t noticed, we’ve put in a lot of changes such as bringing back breakfast on weekends, putting local brews on tap but the biggest and most exciting is the latest… we rolled out a whole new menu at Blue Angel Café as of Wednesday, June 12th!

After years of discussion, brainstorming, dreaming, and fantasizing… the time has finally come for us to revamp the menu. While we loved our previous menu, after a decade, we wanted to push the boundaries of freshness, one-of-a kind plates, and go even more international. With our new executive chef Jared Dill spearheading the change, we couldn’t be more excited to tell you as of Wednesday, June 12th, our menu is now up and running!
Mountains Meet A Modern European Bistro In Lake Tahoe
Over the coming months, we’ll delve deep into ALL the dishes on the menu. The overarching theme is what we like to call a Modern European Bistro or a Mountain Bistro for short.
Each dish and ingredient is made from scratch and carefully selected from the highest quality vendors. For example, we now cut our fries to order and serve them with homemade ketchup! For those meat lovers, the new Elk Burger is one of the BEST you’ll have anywhere. Tender, juicy, and beyond words. Let’s just say it’ll leave you smiling ear-to-ear. And don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten about our vegetarians as the “Faux-gras” Bánh Mì is to die for! No animals were harmed in the making of this tasty treat either. The pâté is made from mushroom lentils served on a custom bánh mì baguette from Truckee Sourdough Company, made exclusively for Blue Angel Café. We also offer new options for our vegan community as well!
