Office parties can be expensive, energy consuming and downright scary. But, as the #1 catering business in Lake Tahoe, you KNOW that our employee party is the best ever. It’s none of that unfun stuff, and in fact, it’s a great team building opportunity. For this year, we decided to make our annual staff party a Halloween Festivity.
Fall Is The Perfect Time For An Office Party
As summer has winded down, it’s the perfect time of year for everyone, including ourselves, to host a staff party or a corporate retreat. It gives everyone a chance to take a moment to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the calmness around town. So, what did we do for our shindig? Well, since “Sumtumn” or better known as the “local’s summer” still has amazing sunny days, we decided to embrace the warm weather and throw a party on our outdoor patio.
Pumpkin Carving, Apple Bobbing & Hot Cocoa… Oh My!
For most people planning an office party, they focus too much on the details. The goal should be to keep it loose and make it something that you can ALL do together. For us, the simple question was “What should we do?” While shopping in town, Rosie and I noticed an inexpensive electric saw and a light bulb went off. “Why not have a pumpkin carving party this year!” So, that’s exactly what we did. Keeping with the theme, we pulled out an old-looking “cauldron” and put some tasty hot cocoa in it. Then we grabbed a large galvanized tub, filled it with water and threw in a bunch of red apples. A little friendly competition always gets the juices going.
So, was the staff party a success? Absolutely! It gave us a chance to get to know each other better, decompress from the summer season and made me realize that we have a full crew of VERY creative individuals!
